Dear Folks,

By God's grace (a remarkable story), I think that I will be able to attend the Conference. Is there still a planned get together (over beer?) on Sunday evening by an attending portion of the group?

While I should be able to attend, I have less time beforehand than I had expected. Nevertheless, Mary Fletcher and I have put together a preliminary questionnaire that we hope will be answered by the group to be modified into a useful structure. Hopefully, it will be one from which Rachel might produce a 'check box' questionnaire that can provide some quantification of the views of the present and future groups.

Please fill out the attached Excel file with brief answers. I have included my answers as a guideline. You can see that they are not complete. At some point we might have the contributors reference papers (& page numbers) for more details. We will try to integrate the answers in some manner. If you have suggested changes to the questions and additional questions of interest, please include them. We will try to incorporate these into a future version.

For those w/o Excel, I have added a PDF version of the file, to which can be added 'boxed' text or sticky notes for the answers.

We hope to have a version of the questions and answers available in electronic and hard-copy versions at the conference. We expect some/many of the answers will change during the conference (just as some of my answers have changed during the online discussions). A comparison of before and after should be interesting.

The questionnaire need not be limited to the discussion group. However, those names may be the only ones analyzed and included (at least for the present). I hope that this conference and questionnaire will lead to a publication from the 'collaboration' of thinkers in this area.
