[General] "birds" photon in fog and glass

These plots use a symbol to denote momentum and electric and magnetic field configurations in a bird (or aeroplane) like model.


The basic photon is birdssinglephotonGB

Twistripsmokeballs10flat is one of my favourites - it puts the photon into the double loop .. but also projects all the smoke disks (properly spheres in 3D) to a central, spherical core to give an artist impression of the radial field of the physical electron.

Patergamma2 does this, but also tumbles the torus, showing how the electric field remains radial but the magnetic field cancels.

David commented that it was a "big mistake" not to include the electron as well as the positron (though I have done this in earlier work and, indeed, John D has previously circulted one of my plots for this) - to come again in one of the next emails. This is adressed here in birdsphotonsGB which shows two incoming photons, interacting into two oppositely charged vortices, one negatively and the the other positively charged, the electron and the positron. I think something like this should certainly go in.

Fogcoreonlyc1 shows the projection of one strip onto a core. One should imagine this spinning about a vertical axis to imagine the spherical electron.
