<p>Hodge "naive reality" is a standard philosophic term it is not
intended to be name calling but rather the western term for well
established phenomena that is one of the pillars of eastern
philosophies as we'll as almost all western philosophical
inquires.</p>
<p>It takes just a moments reflection to realize that our physical
sciences carefully explains the path of light from the surface of
an object through the eye to stimulate the retina, produce
neuronal pulses and enter the brain where whatever physical
phenomena one can discover does not include an explanation of the
how it is that the object in question is seen out there in front
of ones nose. Conscious experience is a fundamental mystery in our
western science.</p>
<p>However we believe and act as though what we see equals reality,
it is a very practical assumption but it is an assumption and the
term used for that assumption is "naive reality"</p>
<p>no name calling intended</p>
