I would like to write a paper for this group AM, Atoms but do not have
time till 2018 due to a book obligation. The editorial office said they
would be interested in a paper in 2018 but asked if I could disseminate
this special issue opportunity to others..

Dear Dr. Baer,

Thank you very much for your time to read this email. We are
running a special issue entitled “Measuring Gravity in the Lab".
Dr. Ivette Fuentes, of the University of Vienna, Austria, and Dr.
Philippe Bouyer, of the Institut d'Optique Graduate School, France,
are serving as the Guest Editors for this issue.

Summary: The most fundamental understanding that we have of nature
is given by quantum mechanics, for small length scales, and by
general relativity in the large length regime. However, the
inability to unify the underlying concepts of these two theories
remains one of the biggest unsolved problems in physics.
Fortunately, a new generation of experiments is quickly developing
and promise to provide deeper insights into the interface between
gravity and quantum theory. This includes the study of large
quantum superposition states involving clocks or increasingly
massive objects, space-based quantum experiments [...]. For details
about this special issue, please visit:

With great pleasure, we kindly invite you to prepare a research
article or a comprehensive review for this special issue. If you
are able to contribute, please let us know within 2 weeks. All
charges will be waived for your contribution.

The official deadline for submission is 30 September 2017. However,
please feel free to let us know if you need more time. We can
organize a very fast peer-review, if accepted, the paper will be
published immediately. You may send your manuscript now or up until
the deadline. Submitted papers should not be under consideration
for publication elsewhere. We also encourage authors to send a
short abstract or tentative title to the Editorial Office in
advance (atoms at mdpi.com).

For further details on the submission process, please visit the
journal website at: http://www.mdpi.com/journal/atoms

We look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards, Ruiyu Zhang Assistant Managing Editor
