[General] (no subject)

Chandra and all,
Social classes with different predominant psychological tendencies have dominated various societies throughout history — mainly through physical courage and valor (kings and queens, warlords and such), intellectual strength (priests and knowledge-workers) or extreme wealth-accumulative tendencies (the currently predominant capitalist social class). Individuals have various combinations and weightings of these psychological tendencies. Each social class has tended to exploit the other social classes including the working-class people who make up the majority of the population. Historically, social class dominance tends to shift cyclically from one dominant social class to the next through social evolution and revolution. Ordinary people have gotten the short end of the economic stick or worse every time, including modern times. No social class thinks of the general good of the whole society but only of its own narrow class interests. The social class predominant in physical courage and valor may be the next to become dominant in society. What is a genuine practical social solution transcending narrow class interests?
    Richard

This yields the social system of the aristocracy and the surfs. This is the system the US are transitioning into (income inequity becoming worse ).

India still has that strong culture. By getting under increasing economic stress today, the West is beginning to develop the culture of “extended economic family” in a slightly different form.

To become richer and richer, the top 1% needs more and more low-salaried population. That is why the relative salary value of the US population is being systematically lowered for the last forty years. In the sixties, a MacDonald Hamburger worker was earning a living wage, along with medical insurance. Today, such workers survive only by utilizing their Government issued food-stamps and Government paid MedicAid. Notice also that, in USA, all forms of worker’s unions are being systematically destroyed; while systematically strengthening the police unions and equipping them with all possible military gears across the nation. Their salary is also significantly boosted by ample over-time services. They must be kept very happy.
